Safeguarding

St. Paul's Church is committed to safeguarding everyone, especially children and vulnerable adults.

Statement of purpose

The care and protection of children, young people and adults involved in Church activities is the responsibility of everyone who participates in the life of the Church.

St. Paul's Church recognises that it is our responsibility to prevent the physical, spiritual, sexual, or emotional abuse or exploitation of children, young people or vulnerable adults.

How we do this

We have a Safeguarding policy which sets out in the different things we do to achieve this purpose.

The detail of how we carry out our safeguarding work is found in the Church of England Safeguarding Handbook.

Who to talk to if you are concerned about the safety of a child, young adult or vulnerable person

If you are concerned that someone you know is at risk, or is being abused, or presents a risk to others please seek advice from one of our Parish Safeguarding Officers (PSO). You can also report the matter to the Salisbury Diocesan Safeguarding Team or the Local Authority Social Care Services.

If there is an immediate risk call the Police on 999 without delay.
