Iron Sharpens Iron
Iron Sharpens Iron is time for men in the church to meet and dig into God’s Word in a practical and engaging way.
We meet in the foyer of St Paul’s Church from 8:30am to 10:30am to eat breakfast, study the Bible, and encourage one another on the last Saturday of the winter months.

Men’s Weekend Away
19th - 21st June 2026
Our Men’s weekend away will take place from 19th - 21st June 2026 at the Manor House Hotel on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. If you want a spiritual revitalisation, physical activities of every type up the ying-yang (over 50 of them!) and great fellowship, this weekend is for you.
We meet on Friday evening at 6 pm with a hearty evening meal (as much as you want to eat), and finish by 1230 on Sunday. We will be looking carefully into the Word of God, learning more about Jesus, praying for each other and then burning off some physical energy with more choices of sport than you can imagine.
Book early to avoid disappointment. Only 20 places are available in 2026.
A WhatsApp group will be set up for communication purposes with attendees. Payment details will be posted on this WhatsApp group and payment is due by 31 March 2026.
Costs
The cost for one of the three twin (shared rooms) is £248 for all meals or £297.60 for one of the 17 single rooms.
The cost covers full board from evening meal on Fri to breakfast on Sunday. If folks wish lunch on Sunday, there is an additional charge of £12 (2025 price)
All sports are included, with some requiring an additional charge - for instance golf buggy hire.
